Save $60: The new Galaxy Tab A7 (32GB) has only been on the market since Oct. 8, 2020 is on sale for $169 at Walmart — a $60 drop from its original price of $229, which still shows up at Best Buy.

The internet is still high from the buzz of the new Galaxy Tab S7 and new Galaxy Watch announced at the Samsung Event over the summer. But on Oct. 8, another Samsung tablet quietly took its first breath. We think that unsuspecting tablet is one of the most practical tablets one can buy right now.

Sure, it’s barely had its time in the limelight — but the Galaxy Tab A7 is not getting the respect it deserves. The 2020 Galaxy Tab A7 mimics the symmetrical, thin-bezel design of the iPad Pro and sees upgrades under the hood that make it a home run for streaming. An affordable tablet that you’d actually want to stare at for the length of a movie does exist, and it’s currently $60 off at Walmart. Two months of free YouTube Premium and six months of free Spotify Premium are also included with your purchase.

Adding the tablet to your cart reveals a total of $169. Though no strikethrough of an original price is reflected there, a quick side-by-side of the same exact tablet on Best Buy and Samsung’s site show  an MSRP of $229.

Made to entertain” is the slogan Samsung bestowed on its newest entry-level tablet. The ultrawide, high-definition WUXGA+ display offers a full 10.4 inches of dynamic color, ditching the distraction of thick bezels or uncomely buttons of the Galaxy Tab A from 2017. But the sound is what will really blow you away: The A7 hosts an artillery of quad Dolby Atmos speakers in each corner to provide the immersive experience you never thought possible without a TV.

Other upgrades include a 5 MP front-facing camera and 3 more GB of RAM.

We probably aren’t the first to let parents know that a tablet is definitely on their kid’s holiday list. Downloading Samsung Kids+ could quickly morph the A7 into a proper kids’ tablet complete with time limits and curated apps. Plans start at $7.99, so that $60 savings could cover nearly eight months of a subscription.
